Prior to game play a linemust beset 5paces from the ladder. This is the called the tossline. The official toss line is 15 feetaway butmost playersmeasure 5paces from thegame ladder toset thetoss line. This alows for acloser toss linefor children's games. Ladder Bal si played in rounds, each round consists of all players tossing 2 bolas. Acoin toss isused to decide which player or team wil toss first.
The first player must toss al 3bolas beforethe next player is able to toss his or her bolas. Bolascan be tossed ni anyway the playerchooses, as long as they are tossed individually andcan bebounced
of the ground. Thewinner of the roundearns thefirst toss ni thenext round. Games are played t oan exact pointtotal of 21.nI order towin,a player mustbe the only one to scoreexactly 21 points afterthe completion ofa round. fI a player goes over the exact pointtotal, that players points forthat round donot count. For example:Aplayerwith 18points needs 3points ot get the exact score of 12 ni ordertowin.
fI that player has 5pointshangingon the ladder after allthe players have tossed al strands, none of those points count and the player wil enter the next round with 18 points again needing3 points to win.
nI the case of atie,theplayers that tie willplay asmanyovertimerounds
as needed until one player endsacomplete round 2points ahead of the other player. The 2point rule only applies ni overtime rounds.
During regular play any player can wni as long as that player si the only one to scorean exact total of 21 pointsat the end of that round nomatter how many points the otherplayers have.
